That's a wrap - November Edition

Nov 30th 2025

Adam
Stranger Things Season 5 is imminent and excitement levels in the Hopkinson household are through the roof. (Eddie comeback manifesting… 🤞). My commute has turned into a masterclass in entertainment marketing — Desperate Journey from Emblem Films is everywhere across the Underground, and we’re very here for it. I’ve also found myself deep into the casual gaming vortex with Colour Block Jam and Two Dots (a rekindled love). And when I’m not scrolling, I’m spinning — November has been a big return to vinyl for me. LBC continues to be my news source of choice for monitoring the world’s chaos.

It’s I’m a Celebrity season, which means the annual nightly ITV1 viewing ritual is officially in full swing. The jungle always brings top-tier entertainment — as well as a first look at the latest Christmas ad cut-downs. Younger audiences seem to be well catered for this year too, so we could be heading towards a very interesting movie-length finale…

This gloomy weather has driven me to spend far too much time online lusting over electric blankets, cosy bedding and oversized coats — the Lily Allen ‘West End Girls’ look is influencing me heavily. Stranger Things anticipation is also high, though I will be seeing David Harbour’s character through very different eyes… For feel-good escapism, Platonic on Apple TV has been keeping us smiling — and we’re already hooked on Plur1bus (from the creator of Breaking Bad). Hard to explain… just watch it.

Ruby Wax is the standout star for me on I’m a Celeb — hilarious and effortlessly iconic. Post-Halloween, I’ve continued my Mo Hayder obsession (as predicted), and even made a Birdman-themed Christmas bauble for our annual gift exchange. True Crime is also having a moment — thanks to Ella and Pippa I now have more podcast recommendations than is healthy… Current favourites: My Favourite Murder, Sweet Bobby and Bronwyn. Sleep well! 👀

Cold? Grey? Not my portion! I’ve chosen the perfect moment to chase winter sun — we’re heading to Dubai this week. So November has consisted of beach-club research, holiday wardrobe rebuilding and trying to shop for swimwear in deep winter. Unsurprisingly… not easy.

November took me very far from home — Melbourne and Vietnam. I finally ticked off the bucket-list dream of seeing Oasis live, and made it my personal mission to consume my body weight in Pho. We’ve returned with an unreasonable amount of Vietnamese coffee and are now trying (and failing) to recreate that unbeatable local caffeine buzz.
