Amber's First 6 weeks at Pashn

Amber Chang  20th July 2026

Week 1

Day One: I was so excited to start my very first job in the UK at PASHN! We kicked things off with back-to-back meetings with our film client, followed by an TV learning session with David, our resident professional.

Day Two: I woke up early to catch the train to London, meeting up with Adam and our summer intern, Hannah, at Active International. It was a packed day of learning, with introductory sessions on Radio, Digital Programmatic, and Out of Home (OOH) media, which really helped me understand the media marketing landscape. It was fantastic to meet our partners in person and discover so many exciting media channels we can use for our campaigns. Afterward, we headed to a pub with one of our partners—my very first taste of British networking culture!

Day Three: We travelled to ITV in Bristol to meet our partners there, and they kindly showed us around their brand-new studio. It was amazing to get a behind-the-scenes look at how ITV News is produced.

Week 2

I’ve been busy learning a lot of marketing jargon and trying to get a deeper grasp of the industry. Thank goodness I have such an exceptional team supporting me—I'm so lucky and excited to be contributing alongside everyone! I also had the honour of attending a film screening hosted by Altitude in London, where it was great to catch up with our partners again. It was my first time attending a screening, and the movie itself was incredibly fun. I honestly can’t wait for this secret campaign to go live!

For the rest of the week, I stepped in to cover some of Pippa's tasks while she was away on holiday in Albania (I was so jealous!). I’m glad she had a fabulous summer break and got to enjoy some fresh air, especially since the weather back here was dreadful!

Week 3

This week, it was Harry’s turn to take his summer holiday. Naturally, I stepped in to cover some of his workload, and I hope he has a wonderful break! Facing this sudden increase in workload and new challenges, I felt a little nervous at first. However, I’m incredibly grateful to the team for their immense support, guiding me through tasks and client accounts that I hadn’t worked with before. Thanks to everyone's patience and help, I was thrilled to start managing some new clients, all of whom have been wonderful to work with! It’s been a busy but deeply fulfilling week, and seeing myself gradually become a reliable support for the team while unlocking new skills has been incredibly rewarding.

Week 4

Now that everyone is back in the office, the team’s collaborative energy has become even more seamless and vibrant, and I am truly finding my own rhythm. I am focusing on shifting away from just reactive execution, learning instead to proactively anticipate the team’s needs and provide highly efficient support. I sincerely hope that my colleagues find working with me just as rewarding and enjoyable as I do working with them. Being able to communicate face-to-face and catch up with everyone in person creates an irreplaceable sense of team cohesion that is both highly productive and welcoming.

Week 5

After a lot of back-and-forth with our gaming client, we finally got a massive, highly important campaign over the line! Everyone was thrilled, and it felt like a huge achievement for PASHN. To make things even better, Adam let us off early so we could grab a good spot at the pub to watch the England vs. Congo World Cup match. And guess what? England won 2:1! It was a fantastic game to watch, and experiencing that incredible pub atmosphere for my first World Cup in the UK was unforgettable!

Week 6

To be completely honest, I am filled with so much passion for my current role. Every day, I get to absorb a massive amount of cross-channel media knowledge, spanning from Out-of-Home (OOH) and TV to social media. This has not only significantly broadened my integrated marketing horizon but also given me a profound appreciation for the magic of cross-media strategic integration. There is still a long way to go, and I remain incredibly eager to move forward hand-in-hand with such a top-tier, tight-knit team, continuously learning and growing together.
